In accordance with its legal status, the Foundation’s aim concerns the research, acquisition, restoration, conservation and exhibition of classical, modern and contemporary works of art, for academic, research and leisure purposes.

The Grand Tour Foundation has set itself the following objectives: ensure the conservation, exhibition and study of its collections; work to increase its art collections; to further research, documentation and knowledge; conduct educational and academic activities; produce and manage the marketing of scientific and informative publications, both in print and audiovisual format; promote the enhancement of its own activities; and to organise and promote various meetings, events, symposiums, seminars, conferences, training sessions, and exhibitions.

Furthermore, the Foundation carries out conservation and restructuring work, and recovers and restores masterpieces, anywhere from furniture and paintings to architectural and urban complexes of significant artistic value. It creates new spaces to pursue cultural services and to collaborate with other foundations, institutes, or cultural organisations to promote and achieve goals that are in harmony with its own values.

Today, the Foundation is committed to managing and redeveloping the Villa Ruiz, a historic 19th-century residence in Noto, a city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Grand Tour Foundation will oversee its conservation, its opening to the public, and cultural reprogramming. The villa is an authentic 19th-century Sicilian historical home, which has been restored to its former glory with a wonderful collection of furniture, antiques and paintings.
